thanks for the input they have a specific coop but insist on roosting in the rafters. These chickens are three years old, have been together all their lives I really don't think its over mating, but I have separated them just to try. I really suspect its something missing in their diet but...

Does anyone have experience with self blue D'Anvers in cold weather? Here where I live in Colorado it often gets to minus 20 the chickens are in a large barn, enclosed from wind and moisture. I put down straw but these chickens like perching on wire panels, roof trusses etc. in the barn.

I have 20 bantam chicks arriving in a couple weeks. Should I feed the medicated chick starter and also give the medicated water, or just the medicated chick feed and plain water? Thanks!!
