I am going to start breeding Cream Legbars for show. I read the standard on them, but I would like to look at a few pics of show-quality ones, if you don't mind, just to make sure I really understand what they're supposed to look like.
Hey all! I heard dill is really good for chickens, because of it's natural sedatives, and respiratory aids, except I don't know how much to give them. How much would you give each hen/rooster? Thanks!
Hello! Sorry if this is in the wrong place. I was just wondering, if you become NPIP certified, can you still allow people on your property? Or are you closed off to the public after that? Thanks!
Thanks! Heh that picture was taken before some dogs got into my chicken yard and ripped out his tail. Only a few feathers ever grew back so now he has a little stumpy tail, but at least he kept his personality
I already have one breed that I can't live without: Polish.
I want to have: French Wheaten Marans, D'uccles (mille fleur, mottled, or golden necked), true Ameraucanas (any variety)
Well a few things to do would be to sit in the room they're in, (not too close) and just talk to them. You could also drop some yummy treats in the cage every so often. As they get more used to you, try getting closer, and if the male bites don't pull back, as that's what he wants. Over time...
