yes your SS will lay a cream brown egg. This is normal for them. Also the egg is large but not to big for bird to lay.

Sorry she a he. The combs are smaller on females and they don't have fancy tail feathers!:(

Little Peep layer her 1st egg with me watching her. She wanted me to be there when she did it. Luckily I bought nest boxes yesterday for them to use and she went in it.

I use this thread. One of my favorite chickens is a silver duckwing so this helps me with her. Does anyone else have there OEGB very friendly with you? Mine likes to be held and carried around until she wants down. She loves to be petted and talk to a lot. And she loves using the chicken swing.

I got my Speckled Sussex pullets a few weeks ago.

I got two pullets Friday! They are around the same age as my girls at home.
