my bantam are just starting to lay. they lay easter egg color (blue) but there eggs are the size of a quarter and dime. is it always going to be this size? or are they not eating enough? i try to crack a raw egg, but found no yelloe yolk . any idea. thankyou in advance

found out the legs are infected have red spots

i have 9 red sex link hens and just added 3 new bantam hens to my flock. about 4 days ago in a cage.Picture below 1 of the bantam hens always seems to be laying down and does not want to move. its the middle hen. picture below i see it eat but doesnt seems like it wants to walk is this normal...

just got our 1st egg today what an amazing feeling . we got 9 hens. so far only been getting 1 egg a day. there all the same age.

my hens are about 26 weeks, and still havent seen any eggs. they are red sexlinks they been on layer feed since they were 14 weeks i feed them oyster shell, grits, grain scratch . clean water any help?

i cover the nest when its a bout to get dark then open the cover about 1hr before sunrise the reason why im covering the nest at night is because i got some hens that wanna sleep in it

When do Hens lay there egg at night or during the day?

I'm from Ohio, sorry guys my hens are 18weeks I'm new this whole thing.. and sunset around 7:20 how many hours does chicken needs to lay eggs

The 4 hens started doing this for 1 week now I'm start covering the nest before it gets dark. Will take pic soon of my setup. I will try to put more roost up. When should my hens. Lay eggs I'm thinking 1st week of November.

i have 10 hens. 4 out of the 10 red sexlink are sleeping on there nest. is this nomal. what should i do? cover the nest at night?
