Firstly sorry for the extremely long post. and the load of pictures ok so to start the story off i bought eggs from a local feed store (also our diving shop around here lol) and popped them in the incubator and well 21 days later i had 11 little peepers running around. they are now 3 1/2 weeks...

ok for my first hatch i had my temp at 99.5 the whole time and i misted my eggs with a spray bottle twice a day and i had nothing to monitor humidity with. i had 16 eggs, 3 died at day 13 or so and 1 was fully formed but never turned and pipped, the rest hatched and are thriving. when i say...

you can go to the learning center tab at the top of tha page and go into incubating and hatching eggs. it says 50% for the first 18 days then 70-80% at lockdown (last 3 days). there is also a section that discusses dry incubation. personally dry is what i use and have had an 80% hatch rate...

hope this is in the right spot. anyone know of a good website to get everything i need for chickens and quail. it has to be online because of where i live and i want to be able to order from one site only because of shipping costs. thanks for any advice.

i would agree cause you'll have to figure on roos that you dont want to keep.

No they came from a local farm.

i set 25 eggs, 22 days ago. I removed 7 that were infertile (b/c the farm is free range) and 5 that died before day 15. leaving me with 13 and i have 9 chicks in the brooder this morning with another pipped and another chirping away in the egg. Hopefully this helps you figure out how many eggs...
