Today when I was cleaning out the brooder cage with my four week old chicks I found little white worms squirming under the water container any advice what can I treat this with? Is it in the chickens?
I have great news I have been giving the affected chicks B complex crushed up in sugar water and also Poly-Vi-Sol and we are on day three with their little legs splinted and they are starting to turn the corner and stand again so I believe it was a B vitamin deficiency I have a third chick...
Honestly, desperation. I want to save them so badly. I give sugar water with b vitamins and poly visol. I have only given them each 2 doses of tylan so far.
We hatched them ourselves. They have always been inside our house. Not exposed to the larger birds. I just started these treatments yesterday when I noticed it. I did have newspaper on the floor but I changed it out to shavings and a towel for traction also yesterday.
I have been giving them b complex vitamins crushedin their water plus tylan and poly visol...all in a syringe fed directly down their throats carefully. They still have an appetite and act normal other then they cant walk.
