Not sure if it works better than a flashlight -- never tried that. It does work well -- I didn't use it much. High intensity ones are probably better. It will fit in a flat rate med. box for 13.85. Only other thing I'm selling are hen saddles -- two new ones. $5 each

Very easy to clean -- much easier than Brinsea and the viewing window is much bigger.
