Yes, he does "dance". He circles one and tries but sometimes they walk off and he gives up, for the time being.

We only have 5 chickens--1 rooster and 4 hens--Rhode Island Reds. We would like to get a few of the breed that lays different colored eggs. What breed is that and would they get along with my Reds?
Also, our rooster, who we got a few weeks ago (our neighbors dog killed our first rooster)...
My four hens, which are a year old, have been in a new coop since Sunday. One of them is pacing back and forth some every day and today I noticed she looks like she is breathing with her beak open. Is this anything to worry about?
