Well, the coyote hit again...this time, it came into an area I have fenced in with 6' chain link and no signs that it dug under it. Howard, the info and pics will be a grett help. Time to go to the store and get what I need for this area Howard,

I forgot to add that every other day I would give her a (crushed) calcium tablet mixed in with a treat (mashed papaya, grapes, or boiled egg).

UPDATE on Dottie--just an FYI Dottie had a relapse a a couple days after my last post. I separated her from the flock again and this time her "treatment" lasted much longer before I saw results. I thought I'd share my experience to hopefully help others who may be "newcomers" and to show there...

Eggcessive, thank you so much for the valuable info you shared in such a quick manner. I really think Dottie recovered as soon as she did because I was able to act right away. Dottie is free-range to the max--no coop for her, she even sleeps up in the trees. Needless to say, it took me a while...

Thank you, Hallock234, good info...Hadn't considered how adept the coyotes are. Hunting is not allowed where I live (still within the city limits. But the rest of the suggestions sure could work.
