Help, my muscovies have been in the coop for 2 weeks, so today i thought i would try and let them out and see if they were ok walking around and getting use to the place, well the male went out walked around and ended up in the garage, the hen was sitting in the nesting box, I thought oh well...

Thank you, they are getting use to me :D The female stopped hissing for a few seconds haha.

Thanks I was thinking maybe 2 weeks, they will be free range eventually :D I will try and post pics once i get them, I also have a Rouen male, I have had muscovies before but the pigs ate them and the drake we were given ran off :( I think it was because we didn't keep him in for long.

Hi I have a couple of questions, I am getting a pair of muscovies today and was wondering how long I should keep them in the coop for them to get use to being here? Another question is can you tell the age of the ducks as the person i am getting them off isn't sure of the age. Thanks in advance :D

I have two Muscovy hens and I recently got a drake (who has gone missing ) usually my girls walk 'round the yard together but the past couple of days I have only seen one at a time, I am trying to see where they go, which is not easy when you have a nosey dog who follows your every move...

I was wondering if it is usual for a rooster to try and mate with ducks?! I have a very rampant rooster he is 20 weeks old and he keeps chasing my muscovies and my Rouen drake who is 4 months old, like he hasn't got enough chicks to go on with!! Will he grow out of this randiness?

I have 3 chickens a year old now mixed breed and I am lucky if I get one egg a day (Freeloaders ) was wondering if i could feed them layer cos i have two muscovies in with them who are nearly a year old, not sure when they start laying, cos I haven't had ducks before, I have had chickens before...

fingers crossed it is a female then I won't have to get anymore, not that that would stop me :D
