I am on the search for some Silver Laced or Gold Laced Cochins. I am happy to pay shipping or travel depending on the quality of the birds and am in the Oklahoma area.
Please let me know if you have some out there! :D
Only one escapes, of course it's McDerp. He's the wild one that doesn't like to be touched. He was screaming for Espresso to come and "save" him.
Espresso saw me, looked back and McDerp and went "Bye!!!!" and ran after me to the new pen. So far, so good. They seem happy in the overgrown area...
This would be a Jacobs ewe...also sounds like a big fat NOPE on that type of sheep! LOL! Nevermind! Plus, she is a wool animal and a WILD wool animal does not sound like any fun.
Found the goats in the "forbidden" area again last night. I gave up and just plugged up the holes in the fencing that they could get through in the "forbidden" area and left it. They were perfectly happy munching on all the stuff in there instead of all the stuff in their own area! GAH...
Greaaaaattt......might need to leash train them sooner than planned. They REALLY like this other area, which is NOT the area I need them to clean out. And of course I'm also looking at getting a sheep to keep stuff mowed down in other areas. The one I've found is a wool sheep, not friendly and...
Thank you guys! I can't take the credit for their condition as I just received them last Sunday. Also found out that anything a cat can get out of, the goats can too. Severe learning curve and lots of pallets being used to patch holes.
Espresso may stay but McDerp is definitely going to be...
Hello andreanar, I apologize for my delay. Yes, this appears to be a cockerel. It's possible it is a black Langshan or part Langshan. We'd need to wait and see for a bit to see how he will develop to be certain.
Hello everyone. I apologize for my absence on here. My life has been a bit insane as of late, however I intend to fix that and will be on here more often!
Thank you all! I fed tonight and was able to get my hands on both of them. I'm starting to be able to "read" them and food is a BIG motivator.
They were much less jumpy. One will always be known as Ahole McDerp, the other Espresso.
Look at the job they did in less than 4 days! Also pics of...
I recently acquired (3 days ago) some Nubian wethers to help mow down the brush all over a property I rent. The breeder told me that the goats were not friendly but were not mean. That worked for me because the end result, after the brush was cleared, was for meat (hence the wethers).
This was...
Hello Canuck,
I wanted to be sure you were able to get into contact with a Canadian breeder. If not, please let me know and I'll forward you some info!
I also wanted to give a brief update as to the American Langshan Club. We have placed new officers in charge of the club and are updating our...
So glad you like them! Out of all my birds, only the Langshans go for the tops of the feeders! It's funny watching them vs. the Brahmas when they're growing up! The Brahmas run to me to "tattle" on the Langshans and the Langshans continue to chow down.
