I'm a happy wife and mommy of a 2 year old lovely girl -she's the reason we have chickens . We went to look at and hold some baby chicks... and of course when it was time to say goodbye, the water works began! Needless to say, we ended up coming home with a few more occupants in our car. Honestly, I am not sure who wanted those little babes more, me or my daughter. We took the last 2 chickies they had (Black Australorps), then few days later went back for 2 more (1 Barred Rock and a Buff Orpington). I thought Hubby would not be so thrilled about our new addition, but he had absolutely fallen in love with them from go. NO regrets whatsoever!
My husband and I had talked about getting some chickens down the road, but did not expect it to be so soon. We live in a small town in sunny Florida on a 1 acre lot. I'm hoping to free range these little gals (hopefully this is enough space for them). I had been doing a ton of research when I came across this forum and so glad I did!! I have gained many insights from here and hope to learn much more.
Thank you to all you experts and experienced chicken mommies and daddies that help out all us newbies!
