My EE rooster did have bumblefoot...did soaking for a few days and then was able to remove a huge plug which was by a toenail. Bandaged it with Neosporin for several days, and it did get somewhat better. However, there's still swelling and he's not completely weight bearing yet. Not seeing any...
My EE roo, Mr. Sedgwick, is very lame. Soaked him in Epsom salts for 5 minutes, and this is what we've got. The black area is hard and stiff.
He's in the henhouse but in a wire dog cage with food and water. Plenty of pine shavings for bedding. Soak or cut? TIA ❤️
Thank you so much! It's been quite cold at night...like 10-15F. She's in the coop with the others, but in a wire dog crate on the floor. I'm going to bring her home tonight and set up the cage in the garage. It's usually around 40-45 in there. Maybe a warmer place will help as well; at...
A few months ago I had a hen with curled toes. I separated her from the flock, syringed her daily with Poultry Cell, and she recovered. It took almost a month though. Put her back in the flock, and she was fine for about 3 weeks. Now she's showing signs again, so again she is isolated so she...
The landowner wants to relocate my chickens. There is a wooden floor he wants to seal in the new building. These are the two choices I'm given. Which one do y'all think is best? Thanks!

This AM she was bright and alert, eating and drinking. Her right toes were NOT curled under, but she's bearing most of her weight on the left leg. That leg is stretched out in front, and her right leg/foot is under her body like normal.
Since she is leaning sideways on the left leg, which is...
No pictures because it was dark. I had to use my cellphone flashlight to look at her foot. I'll get better pics in AM.
She felt in good weight, but was not close to the water or food feeders in the coop when I found her. She's in the chicken tractor tonight by herself, and I gently sat her...
One of my hens was not on the roost bar tonight. She was huddled in a corner far back in the coop. When I went to check on her, I could tell she was leaning to one side. Upon further examination, the toes of her right foot are curled under, almost like she's making a slight fist. She has range...
I have 3 chicks that are about 6 months old, and 2 others that are 2 months old. Right now the older ones are in a separate chicken tractor, and the 2-month-olds are in a very large wire dog crate in the hen house. I'd like to put the younger ones in the chicken tractor with the bigger ones.
Is...
