5 baby chicks that are 5 weeks old, 5 roosters and 25 hens that are a year old.
Various breeds but all amazing birds that get along well
I live in Fayetteville North Carolina
Not sure the best price to ask but I do need to sell them, short on cash and could use some help to get thru this bad time
Sorry I’m new with chickens, this is my first flock. I have 35.
What’s the deal with fermenting their feed? Why do it? What’s the benifits? Is it better?
I’m willing to bet they are laying their eggs while free ranging ;) try removing that from their day and planting some fake eggs in their nesting boxes. Give them one to two weeks in the run only with coop access and watch what happens
I’m kind of on board with the other poster. If chickens are not legal there, why did you get them?
My hens make an awful racket when laying eggs, they’re just as loud as roosters most the time and it goes on either for a minute or all day when they’re laying.
I get the desire for chickens but...
Is anyone willing to part with some ACs? I’m stationed in Ft Bragg NC and live off base with 10 acres and a very large enclosed run and coop as well as plenty of free ranging time.
I currently have 30 birds but the kids saw an AC online one day and have been begging for some roosters and hens 🤦🏻♂️
I would build your own coop.
It’s not worth it to buy a shed or a pre made coop.
It’s a lot easier than some think and if you need help or advice you can always send me a message.
Making your own will cost time and some money, but buying one will cost time and a lot more money.
Imagine you have...
You are assuming that her rooster will kill them. These are flock birds, they have nature driven instincts to propagate.
I’m going to go on a limb and guess you had a rooster kill some chicks?
If so, just because yours did, does not mean that another will.
Roosters have varying personalities...
I would love to get an AC rooster and hen, anyone selling or giving away? I’m stationed in NC at Ft Bragg.
I’ve not been able to find any at all and would love some to raise and mix and the kids would be thrilled to see them in person
