Is there any data that points to chickens having different nutritional content i.e more or less fat/vitamins/dark meat etc? Do different chicken breeds have different tastes or makeup or is it down to what you feed em or free ranging? This is out of curiosity as I was looking into raising...
Normally I would say leave the mother's too it, because chicks have a yolk sack they can live of days after there born, but if a chick has died off starvation, I would try to force the mothers off the nest, and If not, move them to a brooder. Good luck!
