What ever it was it seems to have gotten over it. I can't even tell which one was doing it anymore. Celtic Oaks, "Star Gazing" seems and appropriate term for it. It would tilt it's head backward and wiggle it side to side, almost like it had been spun around and couldn't get it's bearings.

I just hatched a bunch of Khaki Campbells and one of them is having an issue. It refuses to walk (it walked without issue several hours ago) and keeps twisting it's head side to side and into what look like to me almost impossible angles. It can move it's legs just fine, as I said before it...
Thank you for the response! My husband and I are nervous about this hatch. Our first one (the one previous to this batch) had only 2 eggs and one died mid hatch. It just stopped moving and peeping all of a sudden. We discovered that the membrane was very dry and we (against most advice, I know)...
I have 21 Khaki Campbell duck eggs going strong in my incubator due to hatch on the 17th. The trick is I only need 4 more ducklings, I over-bought just in case I totally botched hatching them. The gal I bought the eggs from suggested that I could sell any extras that I have and I was curious -...

Good to know, Thanks all!
Storey's reason on paper seemed sound enough, but with as many folks that use sharpie on eggs it didn't seem like it was an actual issue.
Are felt tipped Sharpie style pens really bad for marking eggs?
I am curious, Storey's Guide says no but I have seen good deal of folks use what appear to be felt tipped markers on their eggs with no ill effects. Is this conclusively bad for the egg?
My husband and I ventured into DIY Incubator territory when we received 2 Khaki Campbell eggs that were incubated most of the way. We were told that we could finish their incubation with a heat lamp but my husband and I were really unsatisfied with the temperature fluctuations. We ended up...
I have two Khaki Campbell duck eggs in a DIY incubator. Last night Egg 1 started external pipping. This morning it had been very active, cheeping, wiggling around, and it had cracked a hole about the size of a quarter in it's shell. About 30 minutes ago it just stopped moving. Did it just die...
