I hope last night was not bad. It didn't rain too much in Lafayette. What will you do if one is a rooster? I always wondered what I would do as well. Lafayette doesn't seem to say NO to roosters, but I don't need lots of baby chicks running all over. :)
I have been looking at Cackle too. I'd like to go with someone local for baby chickens but I am having a hard time (at least looking on line) for local places with Buff Orpingtons. I haven't really asked much by word of mouth. I only know one lady with chickens and ducks and she said she got...
I don't have chickens yet, YET :). But this was a huge concern of mine as my backyard and patio did flood last Aug (for days it held water). That of course was unusual flooding. I'll use this as a gauge to see how high up I need to go with the coop. I hope everyone and their chickens stay safe!
