What is up with these gals? Great legs but where are beards and muffs? Any other thoughts appreciated. They are about 6-7 weeks. The following 2 are the same chick:

I am bringing a pair of Ameraucanas. Possible female? black 4ish weeks and male splash 7ish weeks old.

We had to move and I do NOT want to do without chickens! The ordanances are clear but i have a large backyard and will probably keep 2 of 9 chicks i have to get rid of. Fingers crossed their girls. Wish me luck! I have a lot to learn!

Nobody posted anything for last month but I went anyway. I'm sure it's still on, possibly just fewer bycers going but there was still a pretty good turn out. I'm going but just to buy

I'm in Keystone, have some room but not a ton...only 3 chickens currently, a big coop, a little coop and an enslosure we made for goats but don't have any anymore and there's no kind of shelter in it. PM me if I can help:)

It's still light here till about 830...my lazy chickens are all "roosted up" by 730. I shut their door and say "goonite chickies"...

I've had several types of LF chickens and they all have been able to jump into and out of a small opening into the coop 2 feet off the ground. Their roost is probably close to that high up as well, no ladders or anything...

Absolutely! But don't turn your back for a second! I walked about 5 paces away with my back to my chicks and a hawk swooped down and took one...I was so horrified! Just be careful!

I have 4 d'uccles, 2 cockerals (lav/self blue and porcelain) and 2 pullets near POL (lav/self blue and porcelain) for 5 dollars each. I hatched them from eggs from a breeder. I am in Keystone Heights, FL...sorry no shipping.

I have 9 d'uccles, 5 girls and 4 boys of different varieties I will be bringing. Around 4 months old? 5 dollars each...

I think I had my first coon issue last week. Took the head off my beautiful d'uccle...right through the wire! I had to move all my d'uccles to the big girls coop but keep them locked up so the big girls won't kill them too! Untill I get things more secure. Good luck to you! R.I.P. Richie...
