I do realize it’s going to be prettyhard!! This is more of a fun “experimen” see what happens kinda thing. They have low hatching rates, often break eggs, experience heart attacks, and not to mention all the other difficulties you mentioned. I will definitely consider the breeds you mentioned.

The more grass/bugs mine eat the less feed the eat. They have doubled their feed intake. I can’t find where you asked how fodder helps cut a feed bill
