I can't find the original video I watched that said to add Wintergreen Oil in it too. I did write down 15 drops for preventative, and 25-30 drops for a bad infestation in the Mineral Oil. This is for BEES and that's why I wondered if it would work in a chicken coop too?
The fogger I...
Wow, Ladyearth...... "You Rule!" I love oregano oil and use it everyday. I'll sure look into it. "THANKS!"
The Fogger / Mister I got uses just oil based products too. That's why I've heard to use Mineral Oil with a few drops of Essential Oil added.
Would yours happen to be made by...
Oooooop's........ Sorry about that "RedBeard." I'm new to this forum thing'ie.
WOW, that's some beautiful Cowboy Country! I've never made it that far West. AWESOME.
I live in Southeastern OH, along the Ohio River. On a map, it's what they call the "Boot."
It's been raining here pretty...
Not sure if this will work for Eagles, but it seemed to work for hawks around my pigeon loft.
I had a bunch of old mirrors that I put around the loft, aiming at different angles toward the sky.
It seemed to work. I just wondered what the airplane pilots thought????
Juggler, I'm a little lost. When I reach for eggs, I have teeny-tiny gray specks on my arms. Yet, I've seen the red ones on my white 5 gallon buckets. When I squish them they leave a glob of red.
I've had chickens for as long as I can remember and this is a "First" for me. It's even...
NO DOUBT! A fox will come right back!!! When it happened to me, I put driveway alarms around my coop. The dings kept us up all night until we finally had a "good bead" on him. Needless to say, haven't seen one since.
The reason I asked is that somewhere I read about a study that was done. They used cardboard neem traps and had about a 90% success rate.
Another thought...... I just purchased a Propane Insect Fogger to mist my bee hives. A Youtube video used this with Mineral Oil, and Wintergreen...
Hummmm....... Don't think that will work either.
If I'm the least bit late, opening their Glass Sliding Door in the morning, their pounding into it wanting out.
People keep telling me to do the light, but they don't understand. Is it just me or are my birds CRAZY????? :-o
I have free range chickens and guineas that faithfully roost at night in the coop.
Everyone keeps telling me I should have a light on to get more eggs.
Now.... every night it's a Peck Feast! It lasts until it's dark inside. How am I going to keep a light on when it will only encourage the...
Oh My Kiddo..... Now...... Sit Down and take a Deep Breath.
As long as your chickens are acting fine it's a good chance they are too. How a chicken will digest food is an mystery to me.
My flock just raided my garden and there's little bits of red in their poo. They ate all my tomatoes...
Hummmm....? I stopped raising Keets a few weeks ago. I'm in Ohio.
If you do, you'll have to keep them under lights (Warm) for awhile.
I'm sure you can do it, but it'll take more work. I would be very watchful that none of them get chilled.
I just recently heard a royal commotion with my chicken/guinea flock, right after I let them out of the coop. I later found my favorite chicken with her tail "Completely" gone.
She was in shock for a few hours but soon made a total recovery. There was no bleeding but there was a ton of...
