Since hatching this bird in mid-February, we were fairly sure it was a rooster. But lately, we're having second thoughts. One of our birds, an obvious rooster born on the same day, crows nonstop. Now, comparing the comb size to our other bird and due to the lack of crowing and tail feather...
We want to remove the new chicks but we have four eggs with outer shell pips and were told not to open the incubator until they've hatched. Inaccurate?
This is our first time hatching chickens. The first two hatched this morning with the third hatching about 3 hours later. The 2 original chicks are a bit bigger and seem a bit aggressive to the new smaller chick - is it normal?
