I has the exact same thing happen to me this weekend to a couple of my young ones (8 weeks old). Did you every find out what it was and did it come back for more? I attached my pics, looks the same to me. Very strange, has me baffled.
I found some scattered feathers and the only remaining part of the 8 week old chickens were the entrails neatly piled in the middle. Looks really strange and was trying to ID what could have done this. We couldn't find any tracks near the kill site. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
We are not sure on which breeds just yet, we are just starting out. I found one hatchery mentioned here a couple times. Ideal Poultry I think, I might use them.
