This is happening on only two out of six of my chickens. I do not have a rooster, haven’t been able to see any mites and separated one that could possibly be a feather picker but it doesn’t seem to be getting any better. Has anyone run into this or have any other ideas.

Yes I checked for mites, but I will have to look into a feather picker

Have never breeded and no roosters

Another thing is I do not use extra lighting so they go off of natural daylight

Austra white Blue americana White crested black polish Olive egger Black copper maran They have a large run and do free range some, been on layer since 18 weeks. And for treats some veggies,mealworms and scratch but only randomly

I’m in Massachusetts so the days are fairly short I was just concerned because they haven’t started their first eggs

I have 6 30 week old chickens all different breeds and none of them are laying yet. I had two briefly lay a couple eggs about a month ago then nothing. Does anyone have any ideas what could be wrong or what I can do differently? I feed them Dumor layer feed

What weren’t you impressed about it?

Does anyone have any good/bad experiences with feeding laying hens either Dumor or Purina chicken feed? I’m thinking about changing to one of these.

Yup always water that I put a little apple cider vinegar in, as far as treats sometimes veggies and mealworms,scratch

She is about 2 years old and no her shells have always been good. This started about a month and a half or so. I live in Massachusetts and this is happening now(July). I feed them nature’s best organic layer feed.
