Here is an update on my girl. She's become more red underneath and her feathering has become more defined. Her hatch date was 1/28 so I think ours are close in age. Sweet as pie and has legs like a super model. It's so interesting to see how they all have been turning out!
I will keep this in mind when making the side aviary! I like the shiny aluminum foil idea. They used to free range in the side yard but a hawk took one so they got a whole new run set up and no free ranging in the yard til its safely covered!
Completely covered 20×20 run. Our run is made of chain link kennel panels and hwc skirting + bottom 2 feet of chain link covered in hwc. Top of main area has thick tarp kennel pitched roof and hwc running between tarp and run wall. The rest is covered with welded wire fencing covered in 1x1...

I have an 8 week old pearl star pullet and she's the friendliest, most outgoing of the bunch. I wasn't planning on getting her, but she was too pretty to pass up and has proved to be my best choice
