    Roo??

It's around 12 weeks old. My friend brought him to my kids for Easter. Got it at Orchelins in the Buff bin that they said were all hens.

    Roo??

I was guaranteed no roo's when we got our chicks. I think I have one in my flock. It's my Buff. So, what are your thoughts? If a roo, are they typically pretty docile roo's?

Coop and run in the making

The girls moved in yesterday and they really seem to enjoy it. I'm starting on their ~20x10 run soon.

Haha. Thank you. I've actually kind of impressed myself. I guess when you have the passion and do a little research you can accomplish more than you think.

Coop and run in the making

This area will be the run, connescted to the fence. I will run mesh on sides and too. Will also do a mesh skirt. Run will be covered in mesh and corrugated poly roofing. My expenses keep going up but I don't want to have to worry with predators.

Coop and run in the making

After doing tons of reading I thought I would begin to share my build/pics. I live in Arkansas. My flock consists of a Buff, Barred rock, Rhode Island Red and two Polish/Cochin crosses. They're currently in a brooder, about 5 weeks old. I don't have many pics right now but will in the next few...

    Barn sash window

Yes that's what I plan on doing. Think there will be too much light in there?

    Barn sash window

Thanks everyone. I ended up changing my coop plans. I found some old windows at an antique store. They're larger which is why I just bit the bullet and changed my front framing. Still going with the barn sash style. I'll get some pics up when I'm finished.
