    Stress Aid over use..

I am posting this question for a friend... She is using stress aid a lot, even when birds are doing perfectly fine. Can you use too much and overdose your birds? What are the side effects of constant use of stress aid? Thanks for any feed back. I use stress aid myself, but only on a five...

    Janoel Incubation Experience

Hey guys! It`s been a while since I have been able to get on here. Busy time on the farm right now, my social life and social web life have been put on the back burner for a while. Naragansett turkey update: Starting with 30 eggs, I removed 3 bacteria rings. Dropped one candelling and took...

How do I know if my feet are still good?

If your scalding temp is correct, the feet should be peeled when they come out of the plucker.

    Cornish crosses leg problems

That sounds normal. All I can say is restrict their feed. Seeing leg problems at 4 weeks seems a little early to me, but it does happen. If they begin to die off I would take one in for a post-mortem examination. Just to get an idea of what you need to do for future batches. Sorry to hear...

    Cornish crosses leg problems

The leg problems can also stem from in proper lighting, and too much feeding. Cut back on their feed a bit.

    Cornish crosses leg problems

    Setting Naraganset

Yeah, these eggs seem like they are very thin shelled. When I checked the egg I dropped, I needed a knife to get through the membrane, it was thick!

    Diy chick grit

If you have not recently fertilized around the area I see no problem. Free range birds would prob go for that stuff anyways. They know what they can and can not ingest.

Not sure what it is like down south, but if you look around there are plenty of farmers that don't spray.
