Pack and play brooder with crib tent; and other new chick thoughts!

I warped the bottom in waterproof plastic before i popped it back into the set up! Poured the horse pellets on top and kept on rolling!

My double decker PVC water system with chicken nipples!

Thanks! Wow, I'm not sure how you found it after so long! I plan on creating some rain-water- collecting PVC plumbing for their chicken run, so they have access to more h20. Supplies and time seem to be me limiting factor right now!

Finally looking forward to nocturnal visitors to the coop!

My husband bought a game camera for me for Christmas! He did his own research (gulp) and bought a Delta 8 stealth cam (no glo) It's set to video, and so far, has only caught me, but I know the little rat ******* raccoons will be visiting shortly!!!

Can you change their roosting behavior??

I only have bantams, but an acquaintance was looking for a good home for her 3 chickens....I thought they were all silkies. She brings over 2 silkies and one big ***** Americana, lol. For someone who has only bantams, a standard chicken is gigantic. My coop isn't really meant for a big girl...

The Tummy tucking flab busters of BYC 2012

Thank you! I was freaking out over the number, thinking "geez, here I am working my tail off, why am I gaining weight" but when I saw my pregnancy pic, it put things in perspective! This last year I have made such good strides with cleaner eating and exercise!

So we adopted a new dog...and now I know what his flaw is: he's a runner....

This^^^^. Sir Wallingford "Wally" slips thought the fence and goes on a walkabout in the woods in the back yard. The one time he got out in the front, he was off like a shot, glibly running through the streets like the fool dog he is, lol. Can't wait for him to mature a little. Between him...

The Tummy tucking flab busters of BYC 2012

I just wanted to post a pic of me and how muscle DOES sit differently on the body....I used to obsess with the scale and I am not saying my body type is what anyone strives to be....I have been a bigger girl, I have been a skinny skinny girl (due to hyperthryoid). what I thought was interesting...

So we adopted a new dog...and now I know what his flaw is: he's a runner....

Well, October 22 is the DAY..I just got to make sure he doesn't go running off into the woods and getting lost in that time period, lol. He literally came strolling back about 15 minutes after he darted off, giving me the "Hey, whassup?" look. I can see how he might have been tough for his...

Sometimes being a "little" chicken helps you find unconventional hiding places!

The sign was a gift from my MIL and was a total impulse buy....and I love it. Not sure where she bought it, but it cant be that hard to find?! I said quite frequently on FB that I was turning into that "crazy chicken lady", so hence that sign. KimKim, feel free to add stuff and suggestions on...

So we adopted a new dog...and now I know what his flaw is: he's a runner....

LOL, must just be something in the system that corrects it! Well, he made a run for it in the woods...2x. So....he comes moseying back on his own, but come one, little dog, woods with bobcats and coyotes? So, after my lunch meeting, I am calling the vet pronto!!! he lost his nuts rights, lol!

Sometimes being a "little" chicken helps you find unconventional hiding places!

Trust me, I had that whole heart-sinking moment, believing I was going to see chicken death in a matter of seconds...and I was kicking myself with "you built a run to avoid this, you built a run to avoid this". Sure, I want that sharp shinned hawk to eat, but I was hoping it would eat a wild...

Sometimes being a "little" chicken helps you find unconventional hiding places!

I built my girls an extended run so they had more room to do their chicken thing (I was losing too many of them to predators during free range moments). However, an hour or so before dusk, sometimes I let them out to roam. They had been in there for a week,so I took a chance and let my...

So we adopted a new dog...and now I know what his flaw is: he's a runner....

yes, I had hoped that neutering would work, but I kinda knew it would not. We plan on working on his recall, but he sure wasn't going for that yesterday. I work out, but no one expects to start jogging the block in ugg boots and pjs. thanks for the advice....this min pin/dachshund is a good...

Would love any of you to "like" my Facebook page: "The Fit Green Chicken"

Well that stinks...I never got notice that yall responded to the post. I do appreciate it, though! The bad thing is, I shouldn't even post about my girls too much on that page, because someone could rat me out. I sure do hope not. A lady told me that if I said they are for medicinal reasons, I...

So we adopted a new dog...and now I know what his flaw is: he's a runner....

We adopted Sir Wallingford or "Wally" about 3 days ago.. He is a min pin/dachshund mix, and he is UNCUT, and about 2 years of age. The family we adopted him from lived on a super busy street and he was prone to digging out and escaping, so they were worried that he would get hit by a car. We...
