3 Days!!! No worries As you can see I don't get to my computer much...Now to answer your question; I did as suggested and I slipped one chick under my brooder and all was calm... in about an hour I slipped the second one under and (this little emoji is how my brooder looked upon "slipping"...
My cochin went broody 1 week after I got day old chicks. they were born April 20th and are in a dog crate in my kitchen. I'm guessing it is too late to introduce them to her.....If it is not too late do I have to separate them from the other hens? Also the chicks are Ameraucana if that matters :-)
alright I've had my chickens since they were babies, so they're five and a half months old, their cochine and they refused to sleep inside the coop(if given the choice) they sleep on the roof. I live in a neighborhood so I let them stay there. but now it's gone really cold! 9 degrees at night...
is DE the same as stall fresh or Stall Sweet that you use for horses stalls? I've only had my chickens for 5 months so I'm a little green. I've been adding shavings to their coop and then trying to clean it out every two weeks I was feeling guilty for not doing it more often. I feel better now lol
