Hi all!
One of my healthiest chickens just pooped a bunch of white worms.
I clean their coop regularly and it’s the first time I see this.
What treatment should I give them?
I have safeguard for goats. Also, what’s the dose and should I stop eating their eggs while I treat them?
Thank you!!
Hi there!
So, I just discovered that two of chickens have lice (or mites, I can’t tell the difference) it seems that it’s pretty recent as I haven’t seen any eggs and they are only visible in one part of her crop.
What treatment do you have recommend me? I’ve been reading online but there’s a...
Aweee this makes me feel happy. I had her and my other silkie for half a year so I wasn’t familiar with their behavior. She is out and about now, nothing seems to be bugging her 🥳
Yesterday after I finished cleaning her and checking her up, she took a big healthy poop in front of me - so I know that she’s alright in terms of that. She also walked away okay as well, but went back to the same position as soon as I put her back in the coop. I am waiting to see if she steps...
I can’t tell if it was hers or my other silkie. I’ve been trying to figure out if she’s laying just yet or not. What should I do if she’s trying to pass an egg? Maybe she’s egg bound.
After I took her out of the coop she seemed to walk okay. Should I help her out tomorrow if she doesn’t come out?
Thank you for your reply.
Her poop looks normal and healthy, she had a bit of a poopy butt so I cleaned her and checked her for lice and mites. She seems okay on that -
I give them organic chicken feed from Mile four, oyster shells here and there - they go through it pretty quick.
I give them...
Hi all!
One of my silkies hen has been inside of the coop most of the day yesterday - I thought maybe she was laying her first egg, although I thought she had already started laying.
Today she didn’t leave her coop at all. When I went to check in on her I found her alert, but just kinda in a...
Hi all!
I have a small flock of 5 chickens. They’re all different ages, but past the 18 weeks. Just one of my chickens is currently laying eggs.
My question is if I have to deworm them as maintenance? I clean their coop/run and the nesting boxes regularly and I haven’t seen any worms in their...
I’ve only got her. She’s a replacement for a hermaphrodite hen I’ve got from their farm. I think she will be well accepted once she feels better. I have 2 silkies that are about the same age as her and then an almost year old Easter egger - which used to be sweet - that’s turning into quite a...
Interesting about the vinegar, I always read that it was beneficial but I don’t add it all the time. Thank you for the info on that. I appreciate it. I posted a picture of her poop, it looks very liquid like. She’s been drinking a lot of water and I have medicated food as well. I’ll probably...
