Kickin' the can this Sunday morn whilst remembering the late Mr. Blosl. Gosh that just seems unreal....
In Bob's honor, Thought I'd post a pic of my Buff Rock pullet today...she's now 15 weeks. Looking forward to that tail coming in...I'll be sure to get a profile side view then. Overall she's...
Joseph,
I sure wouldn't mind being in your shoes for those clerking assignments. NICE.
I'm a bit green with envy, I must confess....what a wonderful experience it will be on many levels!
Buff Rock pullet at almost 14 weeks...Big girl still getting her new adult tail in of course...too busy grazing to get a profile photo which would be misleading without a tail anyway. Just figured I'd post up a pic for the thread today

All good. So glad everyone has...
With reference to these XW/Jwhip crosses.... 2 words= DUAL PURPOSE
I must say that I am loving this cross...definitely worth going forward...Bring on the F2's
Jeff, I need to get some posted up of the pullets here in AZ...got a real nice male that's come on even nicer...I posted him awhile back. I will try to get some over next few weeks.
GQF genesis is a good incubator...and good hatcher...1 for each purpose is ideal to start IMO. Feed quality...what to feed...boy, that's a veritable Pandora's Box. IMO,No matter what one feeds, it will be essential that the birds either get animal protein whether through feed, grazing (free...
As for the Barreds, the wings and the tail seem to be the nemesis of this variety. Not so for the whites or buffs...somewhat enigmatic...got to be tied to the slow feathering and/or barring gene?
