They are growing. Adams leg scabbed over and healed, it has new feather growth. His legs are not any better and he seems stunted compared to his brother Ken. The girls are doing good, Buckeye is still boss and Barbie is still the clumsy bird that trips over air.
Got the kids moved outside Monday and not even 10hrs later Adam got hurt. He seems ok, got him cleaned up but it looks terrible. He's my favorite of the 2 boys so of course he'd be the problem child.
Seen a preview of when Chris Pratt was in the cage with the raptors with his hands out and I was like yep that looks familiar.
BTW Barbie is a shoe girl. She tries to rip my shoes off every time I'm in the pen.
Babies have been growing like weeds. They haven't transitioned to outside full time just yet. They get playtime in the yard and come back inside since they still seek heat on the cooler days.
You would think so, but actually Buckeye is the boss. Barbie is more laid back and curious. When I brought the boys home Barbie didn't care at all, never made a fuss. But Buckeye was ready to fight them, she actually pecked their eyes and would run and bump them with her chest.
So sadly my last 2 eggs didn't hatch. (I'll be cracking them open after work today)
But my weekend was super busy. Made a 18hr total trip Friday to pick these 2 boys up from a super nice lady.
So my mob now includes:
2 blonde males (Ken & Adam)
1 standard female (Buckeye)
1 white female (Barbie)
So time is ticking on the last batch of eggs (D&E). I think I seen E shake today but my eyes have not been the best lately. If fertile due date is the 25th. :fl
Update on D &E. Nothing concrete to know they are fertile. Day 49 is next weekend BUT if Egg C was anything to go by due to incubation temp they will hopefully hatch around the 25th.
I'll post again if they wiggle or any signs within the next week.
