I see, I always put in bowl of cold water but not icy. I’ll try that, I do peel when still warm after rolling as well. How long do you boil? Also I’ve tried adding them to already boiled water and also bring to a boil from cold.

Thanks for your reply. They do have access to oyster shell though they rarely touch it. I give them scrambled eggs only on occasion and they eat 1-2 of their own eggs per week Ugh, which I don’t advocate haha. Their diet is a 22% protein all flock pellets and occasional fruits or vegetables...

I’m wondering if her pale feathers are her new color or is this maybe a molt? She’s been this was for months and it seems to get more and more pale. At first I thought molt, but there aren’t many feathers laying around. She’s a year old.
