    Pea comb is genetically tied to blue eggs. I'd say pea comb and beard/muffs though, a silverudd or cream leg bar will have none of the above features and they lay green/blue.

    Sorry you lost a bird. When you get a new roo, quarantine him for at least a month and then keep him on the other side of a fence for a few weeks so everyone can see but not touch. The girls should accept him no problem. But if you don't need fertilized eggs, there's no point to having a roo.

    No, it isn't contagious. Does the feed have a nutrition or ingredient label? Do you ferment it or mash?
