Advise please - juvenile peahen with possible lung infection or pneumonia.. She gapes as she breathes. No gape worm. No sinus problems. She whoops occasionally. Has been wormed, treated with Tylan 200. Has had this all winter. She is segregated. Eats, drinks & poo ok. What more can I do?
I have learned that my roosters that were coddled were the ones that later attacked... they had lost fear of humans, decided they were above human reproach and then the flock leaders, against humans. The ignored boys behaved as I expected them to. Works for me. :)
I do have him on corid in case he has cocci. I gave him scrambles with B+ vitamin crushed in. What else can I do? I see nothing wrong with his ears. Pictures below.
My Ayam Cemani also are priced at $20. I asked the guy I purchased from why so cheap? He said, "I like to sleep at night". So, I sleep well nights too! 😋
Hi again Chicky - I am also in Minnesota with peafowl. You and I discussed this earlier this year, answer is the same... I do not sell eggs. Chicks will be sold in the fall. Best of luck.
I will not know how many pea chicks or colors I would have available until summer. I would not take prepayment or make promise as the future chicks are not know this early. Please be patient. :)
Hello & welcome Chicky. I am in Chisago Co and expect pea chicks this year. In MN, the pea hens don't lay until March, April or May. Takes them awhile to warm up from winter. :)
