side note 2 months after this post. I for sure have a male and female. I am still not sure if they are 100% full blue. I feel like they still have too much white on them but again I guess only time will tell.
I am taking a shot here since this is a older post. But did you ever find out what that sound is? My french Toulouse who is 5 years old now just started that sound this morning. Never have I heard her make this sound. She is fine other wise and I gave her some pain meds thinking its a GI upset...
Thank you. I mean I am not a 100%. I got my original guy when he was older so I don’t remember him having any white on him. When I look up it doesn’t give me a lot on line to see or make reference. :)
My one peacock has had multiple leg issues his whole life! Jumped from top of barn landed wrong sprained it. Took a couple of weeks and careful watching him to make sure he didn’t do stupid things again. Second one was a fight with a turkey shattered his leg. I ended up getting surgery on him...
Here is a couple of pics of them. I am thinking there is a lot of white on them. And comparing to my older Indian blue he was not nearly as white. Mind you I got him a few months after this age. But I am also taking in consideration they are about 6 months now. They listen quite well and are...
Do you have photos of them now? I have two suppose to be full Indian blue peachicks around 4 months. I am fairly sure I have one male one female. But I am wondering if they are pied! My adult Indian blue has no white except his eye strip and his pants. Did your babies turn out full Indian blue...
awe they look so big now. :D Crazy how fast they grow. I have friends that have three and four females in other breeds and there is always one talking lady and bossy lady. Mine comes running with the arms open all the time its so cute or Doc will try to wing flap when my other goose does like...
I know this is an older post but do you have images od your chinese gosling at that 10 week stage? mine is that age now and there is nothing on the internet to compare too.
what do your babies look like now? Do they sound like low honks yet? I attached a quick video of Doc and its louder now but way more low and raspy honks. video here
its crop thats is full to the max. Mine had that daily in the am. it goes away in a hour or so. :D We don't see it when they are adults usually under al their feathers .
Here is Doc at 10 weeks now. I am hearing way more low honks then any things else. Knob grew a bit but not much. I am unsure of how to compare it when I have no other white Chinese goose :) either way we will love Doc but what do you think?
Do ganders sound low and honky when they are this age too?
I agree still too early. It’s like a secret I will eventually figure out hahaha. My other goose Marty hates being dirty she must be a very strange goose then. Hahaha I am always wiping Doc with something since there is ALWAYS something to wipe off hahaha I figure I would do weekly updates...
