    So, last spring I had a duck sitting on some eggs, but she left the nest after only three hatched, I think there were 9 eggs all together and I think only 3 were "duds" and the other 3 were half hatched but the babies had frozen to death (Im guessing they froze because it was a chilly morning)...

    soluble vitamin D3

    We have some sneezing chickens and a few have crusties on their nostrils, will soluble vitamin D3 work? The ingredients say "D-activated animal sterol (source of vitamin D3) and citric acid" should we use this or buy some antibiotics at the feed store?

    wow! ducks dont get cold feet!?

    I'm watching animal planet right now and they just put up a "fun fact" saying ducks don't have nerves or blood vessels in their feet so their feet never get cold! Crazy! That's something I never knew!

    Why must people pinion the wings on their ducks! I bought a pair of ducks at our local auction for my wife, the drake is black with a green head and a white chest and the hen is black white and green, gorgeous ducks, but the hen has been pinioned!!!!!!
