    Pretty roo - breed?

Can someone tell me if my roo is a PB and if so, what...? Looks to me like a cross but I'm far too inexperienced to know for sure!

Ameracauna with partridge colouring? ALSO Wyandottes or EEs??

First, here's my Ameracauna from a Blk hen and Wh roo (w/dominant blue). Is this a partridge ameracauna? One day: Couple of weeks: Next question. Are these Wyandotte or EEs? Any guesses to colouring? I think the darkest might be a black laced? Dark one: Lighter one...

A little late in the month, but we're here! :)

So, I just hatched out six lovely little babes yesterday: RIRxAmeracauna #1 RIRxAmeracauna #2: PB BLK Ameracauna: 2x Wyandotte (not sure if pure, slxblr, or blrxAmeracauna) #1: #2: And my favourite (and the smallest of the newbies), the Jersey Giant/Ameracauna...

Partridge coloring on Ameracauna? Any 'blue' in here?

I have a hatch of backyard chicks, a couple of which are pb Ameracauna. I put my white roo (wh recessive, blue dominant) over my black hen and got this chick. Is this what's known as partridge colouring? Does this mean this coloring is somewhere back in their genetics? Day One: Two weeks...

Can you tell cross from PB? Also, advice on colouring?

So, I got my assorted box of chocolates opened yesterday and of course they're all adorable. The hatch went wonderful, and I'm in love regardless, but do have a couple of questions. I have a couple that could either be pb BLRW, BLRxSL or BLRxAmeracauna or SLxAmeracauna. As I'm not familiar...

What did I end up with here??

OK - went thru a local farmer to purchase chix originally from MMM. Think he messed up my order. I was supposed to get: 2x SLW 2x BCM 4x Aussie Instead, I THINK I got 2x SLW, 2x Cuckoo Maran instead of BCMs and 3x Aussies plus THIS one...What is he/she/it??? Close up - single comb...

    Not sure what I got...

Okay, I'm the first to admit I can't tell the difference between a beak and a tail feather, so any help ID'ing these is a benefit - thanks! I am sure the ones with banding/brown striped heads (there are two of them) are SLW. There are three distinct breeds and one, I'm not sure! Below are...

    Ameracaunas...cockerals I'm thinking!

I dont' have pictures to put up just yet, but three of the four Ameracaunas I hatched recently 'sprouted' beautiful, long, arching feathers or the tight fans that normally make up their tails. I'm just guessing here but... cockerals? There is no sign of saddle feathers yet (9 wks). Just these...

Wyandotte splashes...pullets or cockerals? Any guesses??

They are eight weeks old as of Friday. Obviously hoping for all pullets, but sure would be fine if one were a sweet little cockeral! I do think the black is a pullet... :) ARGH! Pictures aren't uploading...can you check my default album? Grrrrrrrrrr....must be the late night. LOL

Guesses on gender and age anyone?

Bought these young birds about a month ago. I believe the two on the left and the second from top on the right may be cockerals? Also, think they may be 9-11 weeks old, but don't really know as the previous owner had no information to share, not even breed ( I believe they are Australorpe?)...

Can you help ID my new chicks?

They are supposed to be blue/black/splash Orpingtons but pictures of Orpington chicks I've seen elsewhere now have me wondering? They are just two weeks old and with their foster Austrolorp mom in these pictures (she's been fabulous and I'm SO glad she went broody just before their arrival...
