I saw a commercial for Eggies. You crack an egg and pour it in this little container and boil it. Comes out like a boiled egg that you don't have to peal. Has anyone tried
these? And do they really work?
My hens range 1 to 3 years, and I'm only getting 12 ro 14 eggs a day. About 3 weeks ago i was getting
22 to 26 eggs a day and that lasted about a week. That was when it was warm for that week. So are they
just telling me that its too cold to lay? What do ya think?
I have a feeder hanging by 2 wires thats twisted together. When I did chores today, I saw a hen with a toe caught in one of the spaces of the twisted wire. I thought she was dead, but she wasn't. I freed her and she can't walk on the leg. I put her in a next box to keep her away from the...
I added new 1 yr. olds to my flock, they are separated by a fence. 2 times this week I have found a dead chicken and the other chickens have ate it. these chickens are molting. Do you think they don't have enough protein and so they are eating each other? this is weird and gross. Any ideas...
The chickens just scoop out the feed with their beeks, and it flys everywhere. Do you think if I raised the feeders a few inches they wouldn't be able to do this? It drives me crazy.
Does anyone know how many oz indicates a large egg, and an XL egg and a med. egg? I try not to give my customers the small eggs and have my family eat them. But some of the med size eggs feel really heavy and maybe that would consider them large eggs.
Our pumpkin fest wants me to make a "chicken drop game" as a fund raiser. Anyone ever seen one of these? I've searched the net and can't find how to make one. How big are the squares and such. Any ideas would be helpful.
I'm going to be selling my eggs at my neighbors large veggie stand. Who reuses cartons? Do you put exp. date on them and your farm name? Do you use a sticky lable or how do you mark yours?
My neighbor has a veggie stand and they said I could bring eggs and they would sell them for me. Do you put exp. date on them? Are you registered to sell eggs? Any advice would be great.
I was just wondering if I sold white eggs along with brown eggs, would I have more customers? Some people think brown eggs are weird and don't want to eat them.
I go out to the coop today and I have 6 frozen and cracked eggs. Does that mean all of the eggs are frozen? And how would I know if they were frozen if they didn't crack? Would they still be good? The hens all seem fine, its 7 out today and I don't put heat in the coop. So whats your opinion?
Any reason why my RR's are still laying small eggs? Its driving me crazy. Its been over 2 months since they started laying. My ISA's are doing fine. Any ideas?
I'm thinking of expanding to sell to local stores and I'm wondering if it worth it and all I have to do. Does anyone want to chat with me and let me pick their brains?
