Here in NJ, we have had a couple of weeks of cold cold weather. Will the cold completely stop the chickens from laying?

I have fed my 14 week old chickens a few peaches and pineapple rinds, they loved both of them but then I looked at my list of "do not feeds" and it says that citrus should not be fed to them but it doesnt say why. Should I stop feeding them this food? and why is citrus bad for them?? Thanks

Just had a meeting with the health officer, he said we are not in compliance with codes in our town. The problem is they are making the codes say what they want them to. They are really being unfair and almost prejudice....we then said we will fight to change the code and he said he's on...
