Hi this is my 3rd hatch in my poly box incubator. i have set 19 lavender araucana eggs from my own breeding quartet x This is the first time that i have used my own eggs as have bought them previously, so keeping my fingers crossed. would love to have some buddies to hatch with

Have just set 13 Araucana eggs and 2 little pekin eggs. Anyone with me would love to share this experience. Second hatch and hoping for same result as first one 23/26 eggs. Bring on the chickies

this is one of the last of my chicks to hatch it is half in still covered in membrane one of the other chicks jumped on the egg where it had a big pip in and the shell just gave way. What can I do to help

This may sound a strange question but roughly how long do eggs rock for before they start to pip? I want to know if I am in for an early hatch as mine started rocking on day 17 Thanks:rolleyes:

Was just wondering what is the earliest anyone has had chicken eggs pip/hatch? my eggs seem very full with air cell and a couple of mm above it visible rest of the egg completely black and they are only day 16/17

have my incubator running and is holding temps of 99.1 to 99.9 but the humidity is at 70% how can I lower it dont want to loose my chickies only on day 5. what is strange is that incubator next to it is holding 45%.

hen attacked 2 chicks while in the egg n killed them 1 hatched n she killed it why she looked after her last cluth what do i do?

yesterday i went down to feed my chucks as normal my broody who has been sat for 3 weeks usually comes of her nest for food when she did not i went to investigate, I found her pecking an emerging chick. It was bleeding so I rescued it. Does anyone know why this is her second clutch
