I was carring my rooster around the yard today and noticed he is missing a toenail. He doesn't seem to be affected by it and is happily running around and chasing the girls. Should I be concerned about this or will it just grow back?

Been working on building a new 8x12 coop for the new babies. Picked up some native lumber and a great deal on a couple of windows. Tommorow I am going to finish closing it in so I can move the babies in they are getting too big for the brooder. Here are some pics.

My girls are 10 days old now. I seem to be spending all my time wiping the shavings out of their water. I am using the regular chicken waterer and they are constantly kicking shaving in the trough. Any suggestion on how to keep them from messing it up??

Well they are a month late but they got here this afternoon 6 Buffs, 6 RIR and 6 SLW. They are going to make a great addition to the flock and Ray the rooster is going to be one busy man

Well the chicken bug has bitten me and I needed to add to my flock. I ordered 6 B.O.'s 6 RIR's and 6 SLW's from the local feed store. They are not getting here until the first week of May so it should be warmer and the 3 ft of snow we have on the ground SHOULD be gone by then.
