I went and got some new chicks this year and they are about 8 weeks old, wondering when I could place them in the coop with my 6 older hens, right now I have them in the run but separated by fencing so they can see and smell but not touch, been that way for about a week,
what would be the greens to feed the girls during the winter months. right now I have a live feeder in their run that has oats and barley in it. thinking I want to do sprouts in the winter,,
well my Coop is a 4X6 building with a 6X15 foot run off of it I have 6 chicken that I got this spring, I have 2 silver laced wyandotte, 2 Ameraucanas, one black australorp, and buff orpington, Out of the 6 I have 4 that are laying right now.

I have a new flock of 6 hens that I free range in the afternoon after 3pm. but they will not stay in my yard they are wandering the neighborhood like one city block from home. I have been going a chasing them home but they still leave....Please help.
