Hi Guys, i have 13 chicks from a Rhode Island Red cock x Light Sussex, been told that the bronzy / coppery ones are females and the silver white ones are males, however i seem to have produced an entire colour chart ranging from very pale to very dark!
any ideas whats what and whos who...
Had a chick that i had to help out as he had been going for a day but hadnt hatched and was struggling, his foot is clubbed and has not straightened out yet unlike the others, he hobbles about a bit and can move ok but walks on it as it is in the image above (click to make it bigger) is there...

Is there a general time line of what and for how long to feed types of feed for table birds from chick to "the end" i haven't done it before so am totally new to it!

Is there a formula to work out the surface area of water needed to humidify a specific cubic area in volume at "usual" bator temperatures?
this would allow accurate humidity adjustment to be made.

I have just candled a random 3 eggs from 11 in my bator and all 3 have a very small amount of veining on the top centre of the yolk! They went in the bator 73 hours ago.

Just getting this strait in my head, My eggs went in to the incubator at 9pm Saturday 2nd, these should then hatch on the 23rd i believe? Now when do i make my last turn of the eggs, would this be night of the 20th or the night of the 21st?
