Hey everyone. So, the strangest thing just happened. We were down the allotments seeing to our hens and newly hatched chicks when a strange bird crashed into the fence?? At first we thought it was a chicken, but it doesn’t appear to have a comb - so we honestly have no clue what it is.
It flew...
Hey, I’m no pheasant professional and know very little about them. And a few days ago a pheasant randomly appeared on our allotment, we don’t know what breed it is and it is VERY tame and seems used to being around other poultry. WE naturally get ringnecks around here, but we don’t think she is...
Hey, the past few days there as been a female pheasant chilling on our allotment, and we can get as close as half a meter and she simply doesn’t mind, we’ve been leaving corn and water for her. She seems to try to get to the chickens. And then stops when they come out, as if she wants their...
Hey, I was wandering about chickens of different colours breeding. What colour would the chicks be?
My example is, if I was to breed a black silkie with a white one, what colour would it be?
Hey guys. Would something the size of a Serama be able to live with a rooster (and hens) the size of a Rhode Island Red hen?
Would I be able to introduce my banty hens to the rest of my flock and integrate them without any drastic injuries?
Also, would a rooster the size of a Rhode Island Red...
Hey, I was wandering if you can keep quail in trios? I do like the look of button quail, but if they cannot be kept in trios, Is there any quail species that can?
Thx in advance
Hey, I’ve heard that keeping pheasants with most other fowl isn’t a good idea. However, could they spend time together? E.g live in spectate runs, but be let out to forage together, just for a few hours each day?
The birds in question are chickens, guinea fowl, ducks and geese
Hey guys, just a fun little thread here. So, for about a week now I was so confused as to where the duck eggs were going. They usually just lay them outside in the mud because they don't like sleeping in the nesting box we have for them so when i stopped finding them, i thought that maybe we had...

There meal would be split into 2, a large feed in the morning, and a...
Hey I have a very old guinea pig ( just over 9 years old) and I’ve been seeing blood in her wee. She is overweight, but we have decided not to try and put her on to much of a diet as she has lived a good life without it. She is eating, drinkin
Hey, I need help with my pen. I have chickens and call ducks in a large roofless run. And the mud has gotten ridiculous in places the chickens are up to their ankles in muddy water.
How do I get rid of it?!?!?!
Thanks in advance
Hey, my grandad has kept chickens for years. And I. The past he has kept 3 hens with 3 roosters. Is this normal? I know that normally the number of hens is surpassed to outnumber roosters? But he had no problems what so ever?
I’d love to hear any stories you people may have of your chickens
It sucks right..? When you hatch a chick and it turns out to be a male.
Well it's never happened to me, until now. And I have no idea what to do with the boy.
What do people usually do? Sell them? Eat them? Give them to the pheasants?
Somebody help me please!
Hey guys! It's Katie here... As some of you may know I have two cockerells and some people reccomended introducing them to each other and combining the flock...
But how on earth do I do that without one killing the other?
It would make sense to pull down the fence separating them both, and...
