    We incubated our "backyard" eggs our ducks dropped around the yard held them for 10+ days and put them in incubator to our surprise the hatched. Cayuga hen x Welsh Harlequin drake. The ducklings came out solid black, black beak with big cream patch on chest.

    I have cayuga x welsh harlequin eggs incubating today is day 18 and they are piping... why so early? Im assuming they wouldnt hatch unless they are ready but strange to me. I have bantam eggs on day 18 as well same conditions and not piping... why the eagerness from the duck eggs?
