I found one of my new young hens in the corner tail down (she started laying around 6 weeks ago). Bloody vent I assume from being pecked and possible prolapse. She had a slight prolapse i soaked her in epsom cleaned with antiseptic prep h and antibiotic sporin tucked prolapse in. I found what...
Not sure about a few, they were gifted. 4 are hatched for certain from mix of white crested polish and not sure hen breed. Some are prarie eggers and then nit sure. Any help is appreciated. I know the two with crests are obviously 2 of four hatched with polish but the red? And which are prarie...
I rescued this bird part silkie part Easter egger possibly part Plymouth as thats the mixes of her flock from a farm. She claimed it is a cockrel and she has too many. But I don't see hackle feathers of a cockrel or saddle feathers I think because it has 6 toes on only one foot she might have...
She acts like a Roo with the other baby Roo and I see shiny iridescent feathers like saddle features suddenly. Never had a SS and the Dream Killer did confirm she's a pullet! She also makes a strangle sound like a hoarse hack 🤔. Comb light small no waddles but the feathers and actions!! And...
My new Speckled Sussex and Easter 3 month old pullets have smelly poop. They insist on eating the big girls scratch and feed as well as the baby feed. Why do they smell so awful!!? It is healthy in consistency cor etc but ewww smelly !!
She is 5 weeks and her coloring is not like any EE I have ever had. I believe she's a pullet but I am unfamiliar with the coloring. Her cheeks are very puffy, smooth legs. Any help with confirmation of breed and sex would be appreciated.
Ok today I saw my 5 week EE and 5 week SLW fighting like ROOSTERS!! I have been focused on SLW and SS turning into cockrel, I did not question the EE! In all my years I've never had pullets fight especially so young! Is this a sign? Ugh!! I can't possibly have 3 out of 4 cockrel babies!!! Do...
Please ONLY reply if you want to help me, I have had a few not so friendly replies and if you can't be nice and help me please refrain and ignore my question or posts. I have to get a chicken license so figuring our ASAP if these are cockrels is relevant to permit violation. The SS and SLW are a...
I am hoping that one of these is not a cockrel (is it a glove coming quick)and not certain of its breed! Maybe bc of possible Speckled Sussex it's glove comes in quicker than others??? And what about the laced Wyandotte??:fl
My ameraucana has always had poopy butt. She's two years old, lays beautiful very large yoked blue eggs, but her boots is always got poop on it....the pic is her comb injury from the rooster, she turns to follow me every time I tried to take a picture of poop butt.
I have 4 new babies. One tiny one I believe is golden seabright, one is ameraucana, I am uncertain of yellow her legs tuned Grey so if not ameraucana then Easter egger. The Black striped one I have no idea possible Easter egger. Anyone help on opinions would be appreciated!
