I saw one of my chickens that hasn't laid yet go into the nest box and she left this. It looks gelatinous! Did the shell break inside of her? What do I do??

We're building our prefab coop and I really want to be finished tonight. The chicks are almost 9 weeks old and their poo is starting to get so stinky in the house we do a full brooder clean every other day but that's not enough any more! Anyway, I'm super envious of all the cool coops people...

I dug up some ground because I was going to lay hardware cloth down but then decided against it...but now I have filled all the dirt back in minus the weeds and grass and there's not enough so I need to buy some dirt from lowes. Which dirt will be chicken safe?
So I suck at digging with a shovel so my husband broke the tiller thing out and loosened the dirt for me but there was still weeds so the scooping of dirt was hard. The next pass with the tiller shouldn't have weeds so maybe it will be easier for me... if not I feel bad for my poor husband...
