Great little guy, hatched him myself, well with a little help, on 10-7-2008-------he is a kind fellow, but my neighbors are getting a little impatient.
Will consider anything in trade.
We love him, we really do!!! Gentle, kind to the girls, but to loud for our tiny little space.
Is anyone interested?
Willing to trade...let me know.
Trish
My silkie roo crowed 30 times in a row starting at 5am this morning. I don't mind his roo ways, he is sweet, and good to the girls but, COME ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 30 times in a row and those are ones I counted.

I don't like to complain about my...
Fernando was 1 of seven fertilized eggs I purchased off egg bid. He and his six sisters hatched October 7 2008. He's a great roo, not agressive or mean, he is the only one we have out of 15 hens, bantams and big girls.
My problem is this, we only live on a 1/2 acre and he is to loud for my...
Our chicken Honey died last night. My poor children were so upset. She had been sick for some time and the Vet suspected she had an issue with her liver so we did the best we could for her until her time came. It was so sad. My son was so stoic, he ran right over and picked her up and held...
Is it safe for me to eat eggs layed by my hens who are eating medicated chick feed?
I have heard many conflicting answers.

I have a silkie, orph, and lorp, all broody all sitting on fert eggs. (the silkie mostly sits on the pine shaving, because the big girls steel her eggs---i think the only thing she going to hatch is a pine tree------good effort little rosie)

My rabbit is due to have bunnies within the next week.
Her hutch has two separate sections. The smaller side is enclosed but has a door to the outside and access to the main hutch. I was wondering if she needs a nest box or will the smaller enclosed side of the hutch be sufficient?
It looks...
I have two dwarf nigerians. A doe and a wether (hopefully) he was banded two weeks ago. Well, this morning I was brushing them in the barn and he starting mating with the doe------alot-----------I would have been exhausted....

I'm not appose to adoption, but my...
This morning I looked out at my newly built chicken coop to find a hawk sitting on top of the pen.
Thankfully my week old babies are still in the house in a brooder.
I'm sure the hawk was wondering when the new TAKE OUT RESTAURUANT WAS OPENING!!!!!!!
I'm petrified to put them outside now.
