just got a LG incubator second hand. i got temp the ok. just wondering how much water and what kind of receptacle should i use. as of now i have a pimento jar(small one) with an inch of water in it. any help would be greatly appreciated

hello everyone, are there anyways to deter hawks from attacking my girls. i have two big roosters but last time the hawk swooped in on them they ran the other way. luckily i was standing in the yard and the girls ran for me. any help would be great. blessings and light
