Maybe I'm just excited and impatient but my Cream Legbar hens have not laid at 26 weeks of age. I'm feeding them commercial grade crumble. I have two that are sister's. I also have a RIR which is about 10 months old that is a laying champ. What am I doing wrong?
I live in Miami and I am also looking for a breeder in South Florida. I can travel as far North as WPB. I have several breeds I am interested in but if anyone here is interesting in splitting an order, please let me know. I am looking for two to add to my big flock of two and must be little...
OK...it has been 3 weeks now since Alice has had her traumatic event. She is doing well. Eating and drinking now. I feel good about her going outside during the day but she still sleeps inside her crate in the house.

Thank you all for your suggestions.
Alice is doing much better. It has been a couple of bad weeks. She was starting to stand but was not eating or drinking. A week passed and I thought that I could love a chicken that's not right in the head but I can't let her hang on if she doesn't eat. That...

Dawg, Thank you for your help....after some research...I think I figured it out...it may be her food. I took her off her old food (Purina Layer) and some cheap stuff I got when I got the new chicken from a small remote town in NC at the grocery store. Also...I didn't put the two...
Thank you for support. New to the chicken world and loving it! I was worried that it could cause her a blockage of some sort...don't hens have to lay?? Since I have been doing some researching today - it could be as simple as her food. We got her a new friend and started feeding her different...
Hi! I am from Miami...I know Hurricanes...a sheet of plastic is not going to make a bit of difference. Also, while your inside and you hear the sounds of what is going on outside, you will be worried sick. I actually ran out in the middle of the hurricane to grab the chickens. Not my smartest...
